Naděžda Stašková has been an assistant professor at the Department of English of the Faculty of Education, University of West Bohemia since 1997. She received her Ph.D. in English linguistics from Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, Department of English Language and ELT Methodology. She has taught a number of EFL courses for non-native speakers (beginner – advanced), both at secondary school and at university. Presently, she is interested in a wide range of linguistic disciplines – grammar, lexicology, lexicography, stylistics, phonetics and phonology. Her main research interests include the development and contemporary situation of English word-formation, with a special focus on newly-formed words.
