| Abstrakt CZ: | Tento článek popisuje měnící se roli biografie v kontextu historiografické metodologie a historického přístupu k výzkumu. Primární důraz je kladen na biografie vědců historie, ačkoli stejná vývojová tendence může být pozorována v současných biografiích významných literárních historiků, historiků výtvarného umění a hudby, etnografů, archeologů, pedagogů atd. Popisuje určité metodologické problémy, potenciál a úskalí výzkumu v oblasti moderní historiografie a dalších společenských věd, které vznikly v důsledku změn akademického diskursu v průběhu 20. století, včetně zvláštních omezení dostupnosti nebo použitelnosti. zdrojů nebo klasických limitů ego-historie jako takové. Jsou zmíněny etické otázky a možnosti práce s odborným odkazem předmětu výzkumu a hodnocení daného předmětu z hlediska změn v akademickém diskurzu. Autorka věnuje zvláštní pozornost regionální dimenzi dědictví osobností a vývoji v historiografii během 20. století, přičemž poukazuje na problémy, s nimiž se ve výzkumu biografie setkala. Patří sem zejména otázky propojení výzkumu s ideologií a politickým kontextem období, spolu s otázkami týkajícími se role subjektu výzkumu v akademickém světě a moci akademického zařízení, jakož i možností výzkumného pracovníka publikovat . Dalším důležitým aspektem článku je potenciál biografie pro účely výuky. |
| Abstrakt EN: | This paper describes the changing role of biography in the context of historiographical methodology and the historian?s approach to research. The primary focus is on biographies by history scholars, though the same developmental tendency may be observed in contemporary biographies of prominent literary historians, historians of the creative arts and music, ethnographers, archaeologists, pedagogues and so on. There is a description of certain methodological problems, the potential and the pitfalls of research in the field of modern historiography and other social sciences which have arisen as a result of changes in academic discourse during the 20th century, including specific restrictions in the availability or usability of sources, or the classical limits of ego-history as such. Mention is made of ethical issues and the possibilities of working with the professional legacy of the subject of research and an evaluation of said subject in the light of changes in academic discourse. The author devotes particular attention to the regional dimension of the legacy of personalities and developments in historiography during the 20th century, outlining problems she herself has encountered in biography-related research. These include especially issues of connecting research with the ideology and political context of the period, along with questions regarding the role of the subject of research in the academic world and the power of the academic establishment, as well as the possibilities of the researcher to publish. Another important aspect of the paper is the potential of biography for teaching purposes. |
