Abstrakt EN: The teaching of the theme pH belongs to the general knowledge profile of the chemistry at secondary school level. The project aimed to find out what range of skills and knowledge of pH students would take away. The prepared questionnaire was focused on both the theoretical knowledge of the pH and the application of the pH knowledge in practice. From the obtained data was found that the range of knowledge is very uneven. These conclusions were significantly related to the number of years of chemistry education at the high school and there are also a bound to the type of high school, but other relationships were also demonstrated. Although the concept of pH is commonly used, the range of knowledge about it found in the research was below the expected level.
